Insulation Test Sets

Insulation Test Sets

The ‘RE’ AC HV Rubber Testing Set serves the purpose of testing rubber mats. Typically employed in electrical manufacturing industries, powerhouses, and electrical repair settings, these sets are recommended for use by BIS or IEC standards wherever AC H.V. testing is necessary.

How does it work?

During AC H.V. testing, significant currents arise due to capacitive loading. These AC high voltage testing equipment are engineered for continuous operation, capable of enduring short circuits. Optional fault-burning functionality can also be integrated upon request.

  • Compact, space-saving design with cutting-edge technology. Facilitate proper use of space and minimize the size of the equipment.
  • User-friendly operation – learn once, use effortlessly.

Standard Accessories

  • Main Unit
Parameters Description
1 I/p Voltage  220/230V or 380/400V, 50/60HZ AC supply
2 O/p Voltage Up 60KV and 100mA
3 Capacity Up to 6KVA
4 Timer 0-9999 Sec./min. Digital
5 Control
  1. Manual/motorized control for voltage variation and push button controlled for HT actuation.
  2. Easily set leakage current to 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of capacity with a simple switch.
  3. Upgrade to a microprocessor-based system with built-in memory, printing, and customizable programming.
  4. PLC-based setup complete with computer, HMI memory, printer, etc.
6 Metering Voltmeter: One digital type connected on the HT side to indicate the output voltage Scale: 0-60 kV AC. Ammeter: One digital type ammeter connected on the earth side to indicate the leakage current on the sample under test. Scale: 0-100mA
7 Protection  A fast-acting DC relay will isolate the circuit when the current exceeds pre-set level.
8 Interlocking The unit will have zero start interlocking to avoid the transients on the HV transformer. Provision for cage door interlocking shall also be provided
9 Construction AC High voltage test set consists of  1) Control panel cum Regulating Transformer cum High Voltage Transformer.
9(a) Control Panel Consist of : LT ON Indicator, Push button to actuate HT, HT ON Indicator, Push button to de-actuate HT, Fault Indicator (HT OFF Indicator), Push Button Switch to increase/decrease the output voltage, Tripping selector switch with tripping @ 10-15-20-25-30-35-40-50-60-70-80-90-100mA, Timer ON/OFF Switch, Switch for rate of rise @ 0.5kV/sec and 2kV/sec, Timer Digital, Digital KV Meter, Digital mA Meter
9(b) Regulating Transformer Our device uses a variable transformer to control voltage input (0-230V) to the main high-voltage transformer. This boosts voltage without distorting the wave shape. One HT terminal is grounded, while the other connects to your high-voltage load. Simple, precise, and safe voltage control for your needs. Protection: The protective circuit incorporated in this unit consists of the following : A) Zero Start Interlocking B) Over current relay with the current selection C) Cage door at the top side  This prevents the accidental start of the unit after a breakdown.
9(c) HV Transformer The main setup is built tough. It’s protected inside the unit, and supported by a strong welded frame. High-voltage output is easily accessible through the HT terminal.
