The ‘RE’ DC High Voltage Test Set is a comprehensive tool designed to ensure the quality and safety of electrical equipment. It tests cables, generators, and various other electrical components against both National and International standards. 

Key Parts:

A variac, transformer, rectifier, capacitor, bleeder, and filter. These components are housed for safety in either sheet metal or a custom-designed fiberglass enclosure, which is then coated with anti-tracking paint for additional protection.

Type 1: Adjust voltage manually and actuate HT with a simple button press.

Type 2: Choose between a standalone operation or seamless computer integration.

Type 3: Fully automated: PLC-driven system with computer, HMI memory, printer, etc.

6MeteringThe metering can be provided via a resistive voltage divider for direct HT voltage and current measurement
7Termination The negative and positive terminals are brought out on suitable insulators. Positive and negative polarity can be supplied on the earth potential on request.
8Protection

The unit consists of a rapid DC relay which actuates instantaneously if the testing current goes beyond the preset level.

The HV will not actuate if the variac is not at zero position (To protect the transformer against transient on HV side and to protect the operator.)

9RectifierSilicon diodes with RC networks are used for rectification in bridge or double or multiplier or half wave circuits.
10FilterA suitable capacity filter is added to ensure that the ripple is less than 2%.
