Primary Current Injection Test Sets are essential for the loading, calibration, and testing of CTs, bimetal relays, protection relays, and similar equipment. Typically, these sets are custom-designed according to customer specifications.
How do they work?
They operate on a duty cycle of 15 minutes on and 30 minutes off, dedicated solely to testing purposes. The loading transformers are specifically designed for continuous operation to manage temperature rise or for use in bus ducts and bus bars. Optional accessories might include cable terminations, timers, temperature indicators, multiple contactors, and individual phase controls. These equipment are compact and come in portable trolley or stationary models, capable of handling currents up to 25,000 amps, with optional digital or analogue timers available.
