A current comparator determines the current carrying capacity of a cable i.e. if a current signal exceeds a given threshold the cable will burn. 

The unit consists of a comparator test chamber to test cable at an ambient temperature of 100 Deg. C for continuous testing. Current supplying arrangement is also there in the same chamber having cores and stepless control of the current.
